Restoration
Rachael was taught the craft of chair caning and rush seating by her father who had himself been taught by his father Michael South.
Her deep knowledge of weaving chair seats using cane, rush, Danish paper cord and other seating materials have resulted in a keen understanding of the requirements when restoring fine antiques or contemporary classics.
As well as commissions Rachael has worked on pieces of furniture for various galleries, collectors and museums.
